How do you do this magic?posted Nov 15th 2009, 3:24AM

Well I just survived my first art show. It was a very small one and according to the seasoned art show goers I did pretty good and now I have to go to the larger shows. I had fun getting to talk with people face to face and over all (aside from the not sleeping for four days) I had fun.
I did receive the best compliment I have ever gotten while at the show. It was from a little girl who couldn't have been older then four. I saw her walk by holding her mother's hand and she quickly pulled her mom back to our table. She stood there for a minute and stared at the display, and you could see the little gears in her head turning. It was then she looked up and in the most serious of four year old voices asked, "How do you do this magic?" It was the cutest thing I had ever seen and heard and she was just so completely serious the whole time.
Now after letting myself sleep for like a week I have to go through and list all of the new things so I'll have a bunch of new pieces up, some sold but I can recreate them to an extent for holiday orders.
Also I remade some things that are going into my Etsy shop that I still have left. So if you are interested in any of these and want to catch them before they go into my shop let me know! I'll gladly take pics of them for you since some colors do vary based on the glass.
Glass pieces I have left:
Twilight Princess Triforc
Fox Fire Pendant
Graffiti Glass Butterfly Wing
Golden Glass Butterfly Wing
4 Different Fluer De Lis in different colors
3 Trees of life in different colors (Im sure the ones I have left are mainly yellows with greens and one is a mix of blue purples and greens. I have to check when Im not half asleep)
My name is Lindsey and I am a 23 year old Elementary Education Major. As you can probably tell if you have browsed my gallery is I love fused glass. My dream is to be able to make a living with my art.
So feel free to poke around my gallery. I love comments and talking with people so don't be a stranger !
Hi! I love all your work, and I was looking in to getting my girlfriend something from you for Christmas. Problem being, I live in Australia. . I haven't really checked out the site but it should be possible to still get orders here, right? That and I was wondering how much a custom order actually costs. I'm sure she'd love a glass Jigglypuff or some such.
I havent started shipping out of the country yet, but I can. I'd have to check on shipping to Australia at my post office. I know for Europe and France its around 5-6 to ship so Im guessing it would be around that. Only thing is if you want it insured the shipping costs jump to about 20-40. I can ship uninsured but I can not be held liable for anything that happens to the package once I drop it off at the post office '
Would you want it on baby pink glass and done on a circle or square? Circles cost a bit more because I have to use more glass to make a round. If you rummage through my shop you can get a good idea on my basic prices for size and such
Just an idea (and I'm sorry I keep bothering you, but it's for someone very special and I'd like it to be perfect), but how would something like the "Dragonflies Over Water" pendant go, but with clear pink, and the Jigglypuff design over it in black or some such?
I don't know if you can do clear pink, anyway, just throwing it out there.
But at this stage I might just pick up the Dragonfly one anyway, as I think that one looks amazing (and I'm a sucker for transparency).
All of the black you see in my work is actually black glass that is under a dichroic glass film. Dichroic glass is the sparkling glass I use. Thats why my patterns are two toned. With the black either being the symbol or the background ^-^
If you want the swirly water effect then yeah at this time thats all I can do. I can however take say a pink design (Like my dragonflies) and back them on something other then black since I have pink dichroic glass thats on clear. I hope that made sense D:
I really love your art. glass is so fragile and elegant. I can tell easily that each piece has a lot of effort put into it, and the fact that each one is unique and hand-made really makes them so beautiful. you put a lot of soul into your art, and that makes it great.
I too hope that someday you can make a living off of your skills, of which there is obviously lots to see and discover.
wow, I've been seeing your fused glass pop up all the time, but I've never commented. I really love the stuff you do with it, truly amazing!
Keep it up
